Making a Difference - Anne-of-Green-Gables Style
Jonathan Crombie as Gilbert Blythe.
In times like today’s, ask: ‘What can I do to help, if not today, but in the future?’ However small, you can make a difference; and you can feel proud of it. This is sentiment is echoed below by Gilbert Blythe as he converses about life to Anne in the novel Anne of Avonlea from The Anne of Green Gables Collection. It is a wonderful passage worth taking in.
'I'd like to add some beauty to life,' said Anne dreamily.
'I don't exactly want to make people KNOW more … though I know that IS the noblest ambition … but I'd love to make them have a pleasant time because of me … to have some little joy or happy thought that would never have existed if I hadn't been born.'
